History

Our school was built back in 1966. It was named in honor of the late Charles G. Taylor who was Foxboro's longtime superintendent of schools. The Taylor Elementary School is a neighborhood school in what "townies" call South Foxboro. The Taylor School is the first and only building to be on this land because it was the pastureland for the Curry Farm. The Curry family lived next door where the farmhouse, barn and silos stood. In fact, there are still Currys in the neighborhood today. The last of the stonewall still sits in front of the Taylor Elementary School sign. So instead of fruits and vegetables growing on this fertile soil – children, teachers and staff grow together.
